Ways of working

Continuous discovery

To deliver customer value and drive business impact, it's essential to continually test your assumptions and present designs to users. Whether it’s a sketch in figjam, a high-level concept, or a fully developed prototype, regularly engaging in product discovery to inform your decisions is vital. This practice significantly reduces risk, enables teams to adapt swiftly to changes, and clarifies both new and existing challenges.

Product trio

Collaboration within a product trio—comprising of a product designer, product manager, and technical lead—results in more informed and comprehensive product development decisions. Teams guided by this trio are more likely to iterate quickly, communicate effectively, and deliver user-centric products that enhance customer value.

Ship early & often

Iteration is fundamental to product design. Releasing code frequently enables product teams to iterate quickly and gain valuable insights. Launching a small piece of work requires humility; it’s essential to let go of perfectionism and avoid scope creep to make that crucial initial step toward your larger vision.

Lead with empathy

Jamie has successfully built and led highly motivated teams by prioritizing empathy and putting people first. Taking the time to understand each team member's unique circumstances is crucial. By communicating with transparency and kindness and guiding the team through organizational dynamics, Jamie has established herself as an exceptional leader.
